CARVE THEIR NAMES WITH PRIDE
AUSTRALIAN STORY - 4 NOVEMBER 1999
The project and tour became the subject of a program on the ABC's documentary, Australian Story. The program, entitled Carve Their Names With Pride aired nationally on November 4 1999. It has since been repeated on the ABC on numerous occasions.

Since the program aired, the school has received over 400 letters, faxes and emails of support and congratulations. We would like to thank all of these people who took the time and effort to write such supportive messages. |

Carve Their Names With Pride was judged best documentary at the 2000 Youth Media Awards. The $1000 prize was donated to Kalyan House Youth Centre in Mackay, which provides accommodation and support for young people in need. |
